Vaping Methods & Device Care

Most CBD shops explain what CBD is. Almost none explain how to use and look after the hardware. This guide covers both — with no medical claims, just practical technique.

Choosing a method

Pens and disposables are the simplest start: no settings, inhale gently for one to two seconds, wait several minutes between draws. Cartridges on a 510 battery add control: start at the lowest voltage and increase only if vapor feels too thin. Refillable pod systems suit daily users who want lower cost per ml; dry-herb vaporizers heat plant material without combustion and need temperature discipline rather than power.

Technique basics

Slow, low, and spaced out beats hard pulls: gentler draws vaporize more evenly, protect coils, and make effects easier to judge. Store liquids upright, away from heat and sunlight. If a cartridge tastes burnt, stop — the coil is dry or spent; pushing through ruins both flavor and hardware.

Device care

Weekly for daily users: wipe the mouthpiece, clean the battery contact with a dry cotton swab, check the tank for leaks. Dry-herb devices: brush the chamber after each session, deep-clean screens and vapor paths with isopropyl alcohol on schedule, and replace screens rather than forcing airflow. Batteries: never leave charging unattended, never use a torn-wrap battery, and recycle cells at collection points — not in household waste.

When to replace instead of clean

Coils and pods are consumables: persistent burnt taste, gurgling after cleaning, or visibly darkened coils mean replacement. A well-kept battery outlives many pods; a neglected one fails early and can be unsafe.
